Anthony David Gonzalez is a former American football tight end who played in the National Football League for 17 seasons. He is considered one of the best tight ends to ever play. In addition to being the NFL's leader for receiving yards, as well as the third place in total receptions, Gonzalez was also among the NFL tight end with the most receptions.
Tony Gonzalez, a former Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro and Atlanta Falcons All-Pro Tight End now works as a FOX Sport Studio analyst. Gonzalez has appeared as a guest on FOX NFL KICKOFF (FOX's hour-long NFL pregame show prior to FOX NFL SUNSET) that airs every Sunday morning at 11:00 am ET during the NFL season.
Gonzalez has signed a contract extension with The Falcons with a two-year term and $14 million on March 15 2013. This was despite having stated that Gonzalez had claimed he planned to retire following the 2012 NFL football season. Randy Moss announced his retirement in 2012 in 2012, and Gonzalez (37 year old) was the an NFL's most prolific receiver.
